The Importance Of The Family Rosary

It is not an understatement to say that we are living in perilous times. We search without success for solutions to resolve the upheaval and restore peace, unity and prosperity to our land and to the entire human race. What is the one thing we are overlooking?

What is the one positive course of action that everyone can pursue, no matter what their place in society may be? What is the one instrument that has the power to transform people and society for the better? What is this action that is peaceful in nature and no law forbids? The answer: The daily family Rosary!

The famous “Rosary Priest”, Fr. Patrick Peyton (d. 1992) coined two phrases which

define a plan for peace and healing for humanity that are now household expressions:

“The family that prays together stays together, and “A world at prayer is a world at peace."

If you and your family have allowed this most powerful practice to slip away in the busyness of life; or if you never actually attempted such a practice, there is no time to lose. Start today! So many forces in society today tear at the fabric of families. Only God can heal, unify and protect the family. Likewise, a nation is only as strong as its families. When we reconstitute family life in America, so many of our problems and divisions would be resolved. This is precisely what the Rosary does. I would be happy to come to your home and explain its power and guide you in the initiation of this practice. Please call the rectory to arrange for a visit as soon as possible. Don’t wait to begin the daily

family Rosary. The situation is dire.

I am also pleased to announce that at 10:30 am on the Sundays of October 10, 17 24

and 31, we will be gathering in front of the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes to recite a

communal Rosary. Please join us with your families for this prayer as well.

Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us!
